Mike was a farmer all of his life and farmed east of Stuttgart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters and four brothers, and two grandchildren.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons: Irwin and his wife, Mildred, Wichita, Kansas; Ellsworth and his wife, Hilda, Stuttgart, Kansas; two daughters: Esther and her husband, Willard Weinman, Stuttgart, Kansas; and Mrs. Erna Bach, Phillipsburg, Kansas. He leaves two sisters; Mrs. Herman Miller, Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Mrs. Anna Vogel, Stuttgart, Kansas, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services were held July 20, 1973, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Stuttgart, Kansas, with the Rev. Duane Levin officiating. Hymns were sung by Alvin Veeh and Norman Merklein and by the congregation with Mrs. Marene Levin as organist.
