IS TAKEN BY DEATH

 

Former Resident of Findlay and Carey Expires in Bristolville Home.

 

 

CAREY, June 28 - Elmer Frank Hoy, 69, died in his residence in

Bristolville, Trumbull county, Ohio at 11:30 o'clock Friday evening

after a short illness.

 

Mr. Hoy was born February 1, 1873 at Phillipsburg, Kansas,

the son of Alexander and Calista (Orwick) Hoy. He came to Findlay

in 1880, later moved to Carey, and the to Bristolville.

 

On April 12. 1903, he was married to Jessie Garman, who survives

with three sons, Rev. Russell Hoy of Coshocton, Ohio,

Robert Garman Hoy, of Bristolville and

Ross F. Hoy, of Mt. Gilead. There are four grandchildren.

 

He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Bryon England,

of near Mt. Blanchard, a step-brother, William Pontius, of Carey,

and a step-sister, Mrs. Anna Ward of Findlay.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Hoy was a member of the Methodist church at Bristolville.

Funeral services will be held in the Carey Methodist church

at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Donald W. Cryer

will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.

 

The body will arrive at the Goff funeral home in Carey at

noon Monday. It will remain there until time for the services.
