Tony Rohrs
Tony Rohrs 79, of 622 Arden Court, Napoleon, died at 5:20 a.m., on Wednesday at Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon where he had been admitted several hours earlier.
A life long area resident, he was born in Napoleon on December 1, 1897, the son of Henry R. Rohrs and Minnie Landers. He married Laura Rook on January 4, 1920, and they lived their entire married life in Napoleon.
The deceased owned and operated the Union Delivery Service in Napoleon from 1920 to 1929. He then operated a grocery store for several years, and from 1939 to 1956, when he retired , he owned and operated Tony's Tavern.
Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, Russell Elgin, Illinois, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Wesche Funeral Home Napoleon, from 7 to 9 PM, on Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Friday. Funeral services, conducted by Reverend Paul A. Weber, will held a 2 PM on Saturday at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery, Napoleon.
