Johannes's Have 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Johannes, Hanover, will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, October 16,

with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. and a dance from

6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Moose Lodge.

 

Music for the dance will be provided by Ernie Kucera

No. 1 Polka Band.

 

Family members who are hosts for the event are

Jerrie and Nancy Johannes, Debbie and Sherrie.

 

Herman Johannes and Irene Miller were married

October 15, 1933, in St. John's Lutheran Church, Hanover.

 

The couple requests no gifts.

Herman H. Johannes

Hanover - Herman H. Johannes, 76, Hanover,

died Friday, May 29, 1987, at a Marysville hospital.

Mr. Johannes was a barber for 52 years, working

 in Hanover, Herkimer and Marysville.

He also played accordion music in nursing homes

and for polka dancing.

He was born April 2, 1911, at Bremen, the son of

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johannes. He went to barber college

in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Mr. Johannes was a member of the Eagles Club,

 Moose Lodge, American Legion Post No. 163,

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2699 and the

Evangelical United Church of Christ, all in Marysville.

Mr. Johannes was preceded in death by three brothers

and a sister.

He married Irene Miller October 15, 1933 at Hanover.

She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Jerrie Johannes, Marysville, two sisters, Mary Moser, Odell, Nebraska, and

Frieda Thele, Colorado Springs, Colorado, a brother, Alfred Johannes, Beatrice, Nebraska and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 10 a. m. Monday at the Evangelical

 United Church of Christ in Marysville.

Burial will be in Marysville Cemetery. Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville is in charge of arrangements.
