SODUS  Couple Weds

The marriage of two of our most prominent young people occurred

at the Presbyterian parsonage in Lyons, Saturday when

Miss Leona Tack, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Tack,

became the wife of Alfred Hermenet, second son of Mr. and Mrs.

Adrian Hermenet. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Albert J.

Thomas of the Lyons Presbyterian church. The attendants were

Miss Mary Tack, sister of the bride, Miss Ila Hermenet, sister of

the groom, Cornelius Tack, uncle of the bride, and George Hewitt of South Sodus.

The bride was beautifully gowned in violet blue crepe and carried a

bouquet of pink snapdragons. Miss Mary Tack wore a gown of golden yellow crepe and carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums.

Miss Ila Hermenet wore a gown of pale green crepe. She carried

bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bride's gifts to her attendants

were vanity cases and the groom gave his attendants combination pens and pencils. After the ceremony a reception was held at the

home of the brides parents, only the immediate families and a few

invited friends being present. The bride is a graduate Sodus High

School and the groom has been a successful young farmer. Both are

very highly regarded among a large circle of friends, who extended

congratulations and best wishes for a happy married life. They left

Sunday for Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the groom has a position.
