Obituary

Evelyn Marie Hartman

Evelyn (Shadle) Hartman, 78, of Myerstown,

died June 19, 2007 at her residence.
Born January 6, 1929 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter

 of the late Henry V. Shadle and Margaret A. Kissinger Shadle, who survives her of Stone Ridge Village, Myerstown.
Evelyn was a graduate of Elizabethville High School and Harrisburg Area Community College. After 45 years of service with Upper Dauphin Area Schools, she retired as the

district's Business Manager.
Evelyn was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Myerstown. She was active with the Elizabethville Public Library and continued those interests at Stone Ridge Village. She did extensive genealogical research on Dauphin County families.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dean S. Hartman; son, Thomas Hartman, husband of Melody Wolfe Hartman, Columbia, PA; daughter, Dena Hartman of Philadelphia; and

three grandchildren, Austin Hartman, Johanna Hartman

 and Diana Kordek.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th

at Stone Ridge Village Chapel. A private burial will be held

at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your

 favorite charity.
Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is in charge of arrangements.
