Sarah Bodey

Mrs. Sarah Bodey died at the home of her daughter,

Mrs. J. J. Klopp, Tuesday morning, December 30, 1913,

 at 2:00 o'clock of paralysis.

She was 73 years of age and came here from Waterloo, Iowa

about two years ago.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon

at 3:00 o'clock at the home of Dr. J. J. Klopp and were conducted

by Rev. John Frank Poucher. The remains were taken

 to Waterloo, Iowa Thursday morning for burial.

George Franklin Bodey

 

Prayer service for George Franklin Bodey, 65, 

who died in a hospital in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Thursday,

will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday in Hileman and Gindt chapel

by Reverend J. S. Deedrick, pastor of the First Evangelical Church.

 Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

 

He was born in Waterloo, youngest child of

George and Sarah (Hoy) Bodey, pioneer residents of Waterloo.

For many years he worked as a barber in and around Waterloo,

moving to South Dakota almost 20 years ago.  

 

Four and a half years age he suffered  a stroke which left him almost helpless; he suffered another shortly before his death.

 

Surviving are one sister, Miss Emma Bodey,

Western Old Peoples Home, Cedar Falls, Iowa;

 three nephews, five great-nieces and one great-nephew.

 

Friends may call at the Hileman and Gindt chapel before the funeral

 to see the body, and pay their respects to the family.
