Edward Kaiser

Edward Herman Kaiser, son of John Kaiser and Maggie Fink Kaiser, was born October 11, 1926, in Phillipsburg, and died December 25, 1992, in Union Grove, Wisconsin, at the age of 66.

Edward attended Phillipsburg High School, received his bachelor of science degree in education in 1956 and a master's degree in 1959, both from Fort Hays State University in Hays.

He served his county in the Korean Conflict from September 20, 1950, until June 19, 1953. He then re-enlisted and spent three more years in Germany and France.

He was a fifth and sixth grade teach and a member of Kappa Sigma Kampa Social Fraternity. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Burlington, Wisconsin, a member of P.P.Q, N. E. A., and

W. E. A. C.

Survivors include his sister, Alma Eltiste and husband, Vernon, of Lexington, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Loretta Kaiser of Ellinwood; three nephews and two nieces.

Edward will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service was held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 29, 1992, at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Gerald Buss officiating.

Arliss Weinman, soloist, sang "How Great Thou Art." The congregation sang the selections "Amazing Grace" and "Take My Hand." Phyllis Merklein was the accompanist.

Casket bearers were Ralph Bohl, Loren Grau, Gerald Bethke, Virgil Ehm, Avery Hopson and Dale Kellerman.

Honorary bearers included all of Edward's friends.

Interment was in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Stuttgart, with presentation of the flag by Myers-Hesler VFW Post 1360, Phillipsburg.

Arrangements were handled by Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.
