Obituary-Fink

 Leonard Nick Carl Fink, son of Leonard and Barbara
(Glock) Fink was born south of Stuttgart, Kansas

on Oct. 17, 1894 and departed this life at February 3, 1972, having attained the age of 77 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Nick was baptized in the Christian Faith at Emmanuel
Lutheran church at Stuttgart, Kansas on November 12, 1894 by Pastor T. Schulz. He was
confirmed in the Christian Faith at Emmanuel Lutheran
church on April 12, 1908 and was a member of this
congregation at the time or his death.

 

In October, 1917 entered the service of his country and he received his honorable discharge from the Army in 1918
On April 30, 1919 he was united in marriage with
Elizabeth Marie--Schurz at Saint Peter's Lutheran church at Logan, Kansas

 

Nick engaged In farming In the Logan area for many years.
In 1936 he retired from the farm. and began work for the
D. G. Hansen Construction company building bridge forms. In addition Nick built numerous beautiful homes in
Logan, Prairie View, Phillipsburg and Stuttgart.


Nick was retired and resided in Logan at the time of death.
He was preceded in death by parents and one brother, Bill.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Elizabeth,
three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Kaiser of Phillipsburg, Kansas
Eva, Mrs. Herman Kaiser, Stuttgart, Kansas and

Marie, Mrs. William Boethin of Logan and one brother, Edward of Agra and many other relatives and friends

 

Funeral Services were held at Emmanuel Lutheran church in Stuttgart Saturday Feb. 5, 1972 with the Reverend
Duane Levin officiating.  Hymns were sung by AI Veeh and Norman Merklein and by the congregation with Mrs. Marene Levin as organist. .
 Casket bearers were Erwin Kaiser, Harold Kaiser,

Calvin Boethin, Wilbur Boethin Eddie Fink and Ralph Fink.
burial was in Emmanuel
Lutheran Cemetery at Stuttgart, Kans. .

during~ the illness and following the death of my husband, Nick.
