Ralph Adcock

 

Memorial services for Ralph Adcock, 84, of Fremont,

will be 11 a.m., Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont

He died Sunday, February 15, 1998, at
Mercy Care Center at Omaha.

Adcock was born January 30, 1914, in Brownsville.

He grew up in Ainsworth and Brock and was a

1932 graduate of Brock High School. He served in the

Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930s for

four years, and worked for the Missouri & Pacific
Railroad at Talmage and Eagle for 10 years. He came to

Fremont in 1948. He was employed at Valmont Industries

in Valley until retiring in 1977.

He married Nellie Strange, January 14, 1939.

 They later divorced.

Survivors include: two sons, Darrel (and wife, Nancy)

 Adcock of Fremont and R. Gene (and wife, Cecelia) Adcock

of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; a daughter, Carol (Mrs. James)

Sazama of Omaha; two brothers, Elmer (and wife, Hilda) Adcock

of Farragut, Iowa, and Harold (and wife, Mille) Adcock of Brock;

eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, a half brother,

a sister and two half sisters.

The Reverend Ron Croom of First United Methodist Church

in Fremont will officiate Friday's service. There will be no

visitation. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
